filezonesyncservice
During my internship at Automatize, I collaborated on the FileZoneSyncService. The FileZoneSyncService, written in .NET, is a component of the broader FileZone system. It operates as a Windows service running in the background and is automatically launched upon computer startup. It comprises two main aspects: the tenant and the subtenant.
Upon startup, the service automatically creates the appropriate directories at locations configured in the configuration file. When files are placed in these directories by a subtenant or tenant, they are automatically uploaded to the FileZone storage and added to the database. When a subtenant uploads a file, it is automatically downloaded by the tenant and placed in the correct directory, and vice versa. This process is facilitated by an API.
While the project already existed, significant modifications were required to enhance its functionality and efficiency.
